Oh Lord, could anything more horrible than this happen? http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/4517024.stm

My cousin came home from Loyola Jesuit College where she goes to school and is now crying her heart out. 52 of her schoolmates were on that plane and there is no information as to what is going on. This is a disgrace, lack of information is only compounding people's grief....I've never felt so helpless in my life.

A simply horrible experience. Both you and your cousin have my deepest sympathy; such a wasteless tragedy. The pain must be unbelievable for the families of the schoolchildren.

I know. Absolutely thank you for your sympathies. We have had a ray of hope in the last 24 hours. My cousins best friend has been found in a Port Harcourt hospital. Alive but very badly burned and in critical condition. She is currently at the Shell clinic waiting to be airlifted to a bigger hospital. This has been a source of great comfort but at the same time sorrow to my cousin. Even as there is hope for the survival of her best friend, it drives home the loss of all the others.
